Handwork Teacher EOI

Yallingup Steiner School invites expressions of interest for permanent part-time employment
as a handwork teacher.

Availability across afternoons from 1pm is required, with a view to developing an exceptional
programme across all primary school classes. (1-6)

Days and hours are dependent on applications received.

The Handwork Teacher(s) shall hold refined artistic skills in handwork, which may include a
range of mediums, such as textiles, woodwork and clay.

Our curriculum calls for students to experience the satisfaction of creating utilitarian objects
of beauty.

The Handwork Teacher(s) will:

  • have an open and approachable manner.
  • provide appropriate creative activities designed to foster safe, inclusive and
    stimulating experiences for students.
  • collaborate with other members of staff where appropriate, including the Education
Facilitator and class teachers, to inform and guide the delivery of activities and
    ensure relevance to student needs.
  • Have experience or a keen interest in the pedagogical indications for Steiner
    Education Curriculum.
  • Be well organised and resourceful, with confidence and experience in the use of
    natural materials.

We welcome applications from persons interested in being part of our dynamic and
enthusiastic staff.
