Glenaeon Rudolf Steiner School: Class 5 published in local Council storybook

Glenaeon Rudolf Steiner School

Class 5 published in local Council storybook

Four students in Class 5 at Glenaeon Rudolf Steiner School had their work chosen for an annual publication by Willoughby City Council. The Wildlife Storybook this year was based on the theme of animal communication.  Each school was assigned a local wild animal that lives in the Willoughby Council area. This is the first year that Glenaeon has participated and Class 5 were allocated the Australian Wood Duck. Council came and gave a presentation about the animal, then the children worked on writing and drawing about it in their library lessons.  Students then worked on their illustrations and writing during the long lockdown period. Class 5 were lucky to have had an excursion in Term 2 to The Australian Botanic Garden at Mount Annan where they saw Wood Ducks on the pond.

Willoughby City Council held an online book launch with all of the other local schools who were involved in the project, in which the four girls were recognised.

Well done students for your wonderful work and congratulations!
